Ah, the end! Read carefully. The clues are there.

Catch up: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

“I was going to call him. That day. I loved him. I should have told him. I just…when he proposed I just freaked out. He’s my best friend. I was afraid getting married would ruin everything. I mean, my parents…they don’t even talk to each other anymore. I know it was stupid. I realized it was stupid. Will would never hurt me like that. I was going to tell him I was wrong. But Hank said he needed cooling off, and you know, they’re really close. If I had just been brave enough…”

  1. Like Carrie, I don’t trust Hank one bit. If only he’d known they’d broken up, eh? Yeah. I’ll bet, Hank.

Great range of voices, with a mystery thrown in to boot, Steph. Like I say, you’re the master at this.

    1. You hit the nail on the head! That was the lie that revealed Hank as the true opportunistic murderer he is!

And thank you so very much. : )

  2. Very pleased. I agree with the rest, I think Hank was up to something. Thank you so much for the past week, I had a lot of fun both reading and writing.

    1. Yes. You got it. Hank killed Will post-breakup, pre-makeup, so he could frame it as a suicide, then step in as the comforting best friend, and weasel his way into a romance.

        1. Thank YOU for being such a faithful commenter as well as writer. I’d say you did as much work as I did, giving feedback on everyone’s work. You’re so awesome like that. It means a lot to me, as well as, I’m sure, the other Voice Writers.

  3. Oh! And still the mystery lingers in the air — along with the stench of foul play, I think.

Thanks for hosting Voice Week yet again, Steph. It’s been great fun writing and reading a wide range of voices. 😀

    1. Figure out who lied and you know who the killer is. : )

Thanks for being a part of it all!
