Inspiration Monday XVIII

2 minutes read

Fewer submissions this week, as it is officially Summer! Thanks to the Rewriters still pumping out words this week, and all worth reading (or listening to, as is sometimes the case!). In other news, I was interviewed last week by Rewriter Marantha (and flattered as all get out).

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

Eternally five minutes*

Voices of the wind*

Ancient astronaut

I dreamed this

A reason to fight

        1. Aww. Yeah, with the holiday weekend, it kinda sneaks up on you (this is assuming you’re in America). I might not post for another half an hour or so; you might still have time. (???)

      1. No, I’m kind of dead right now where writing is concerned since I not only had my holiday weekend, I was at a High School Conference from Thursday – Sunday, and since Wednesday morning I hadn’t had a second on my own. Introvert nightmare. lol but it was fun.

  1. My WIP has suddenly consumed every bit of my processing power! I couldn’t work InMon in… and now I’ve already missed it? What? I broke my streak. 🙁
“I dreamed this” gave me that feeling… let’s see if I can get my game back on.

    1. Well, WIPs (WsIP???) are always more important than random flash fiction, so don’t beat yourself up. The week sure does go fast, though, doesn’t it?
