Last week’s prompts blossomed in the hands of the Rewriters (I have thus christened you!) in every form from prose to poetry, from 140-character stories to song lyrics!

Marantha and Marantha again

Did I miss anybody? Comment!

*EDIT* Missed Jenna’s brilliant piece

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

Death’s artwork*

Why is the sky black?**

At the worst possible moment

We met at the bottom of a river

She didn’t change the whole world; just mine

If you want to share your Inspiration Monday piece, post it on your blog and link back to today’s post; I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. No blog? Email your piece to me at stephanie (at) balcomagency (dot) com.

Have at it!

*Today’s first prompt brought to you by Debra at FindAnOutlet

**The second prompt brought to you by Star Trek: Next Generation “The Offspring”

  1. Hey, good job. I posted two posts i call Way of the Samurai. There are two posts and in each I use a different style to write the combat sequences. I would love to see which ones you prefer, and why, such input from such an inspirational writer like you would be invaluable to me.

    1. Jeremy, be honest. Did you even read this post? Or did you use copy/paste here and on Jinx’s blog? I look forward to reading your work when I get a chance, but remember that the door swings both ways. ; )

  2. These prompts look GREAT. You are all so fast! Such good stories already! My head is spinning since I have barely read through the prompts. LOL! My writing day is usually Sunday. The rest of my time is hit or miss. But I will be back to check out all your wonderful stories.

Thank you, Stephanie, for hitting the jackpot again with the prompts!

    1. Thanks Char! They ARE fast; it never ceases to amaze me. My own submissions wouldn’t appear until Friday at earliest! I look forward to seeing yours!

  4. How cool is it that 5 prompts can generate such amazing creativity … I’m hooked! Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this. It’s nice to take some time out from the theatre writing and just WRITE! 😉 Congrats all .. and I’m proud to be a “Rewriter” for the InMon’s!
