Jim looked at Harry, at the rivulets of water cutting streaks down his muddy face. He looked at his combat boots, ankle deep in trench sludge mixed with blood. Eighteen days in a standoff. Rations gone. Ammunition dwindling.
“Yeah,” he replied. “But we’re standing.”

An optimism I sure don’t have. Really good Stephanie. Would you consider prompts for a 50 word story on InMon? Love it that you posted this, it’s inspiring.
We optimists will convert you eventually. At least, we’re very optimistic about it. ; )
I try not to constrict InMon too much, but it could make a very interesting twist to see if people want to try a 50 word challenge. They often combine the prompts with other challenges anyway…so maybe it’s too easy as-is, haha. I might give it a try.
With this as an example… how can I resist?
