About

Write unto others as you would have them write unto you.

Here’s where you go when you’re banging your head against the keyboard.

Not literally. I mean, it would be really cool if we could buy all the URLs that could possibly be produced by a forehead repeatedly slamming into a QWERTY or Dvorak system. But ain’t nobody got time for that.

But I digress.

BeKindRewrite is on a mission to help you write the kind of book you would want to read, whether you need help with plot, setting, character development, exposition, or show don’t tell.

And if you need help with something we don’t got, we’ve got a Suggestion Box.

Who’s Stephanie? Stephanie is an award-winning copy and public relations writer for the largest ad agency in Fort Worth. She managed to land this job without a college degree – which she blames on her years of experience writing fiction. She runs this blog both to learn and share what she’s learned.

  2. MS. STEPHANIE, CHECK YOUR INBOX, I SENT YOU AN EMAIL A WHILE AGO WITH SOME EXAMPLES OF “BADGES” THAT I HAVE COME UP WITH SO FAR, ALONG WITH THEIR CORRESPONDING LINKS ON MY SITE. IF YOU APPROVE THEM, I WILL START POSTING THEM ON ALL THE PAGES OF MY SITE.

AND HERE IS THE LINK TO THE PAGE ON MY PERSONAL WEBSITE WHERE YOU CAN GET THE IMAGES, IF YOU APPROVE THEM, AND LINKS WHENEVER YOU NEED THEM….

    http://www.dracaelynsdreams.com/new-page.html

I AM REALLY HOPING YOU WILL LIKE THEM.

    CYBER HUGS,

    MARANTHA

      • IF YOU COULD LET ME KNOW IF YOU APPROVE THE DESIGNS, I WILL START PUTTING THEM ON ALL OF THE POSTS THAT I MADE IN RESPONSE TO YOUR WONDERFUL, INSPIRING, MIND STRETCHING PROMPTS SO THAT FOLKS WHO MIGHT STUMBLE ON MY SITE WILL KNOW WHERE I GOT THE INSPIRATION. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU (KIND OF MEAN, I GUESS, IN A WAY, CONSIDERING THAT YOU JUST POSTED THAT YOU WERE GOING TO HAVE TO START CUTTING BACK! THAT REMINDS ME, DID I BY CHANCE MAKE IT “UNDER THE WIRE” FOR THIS WEEKS IN THAT CHERISHED AND COVETED “TOP TWENTY FIVE”?)

PLEASE DO TAKE IT EASY THOUGH, I WOULD HATE TO SEE YOU GET SICK BY OVERDOING IT. YOU STARTED SUCH A WONDERFUL THING WITH YOUR PROMPTS AND HAVE INSPIRED SO MANY OF US, I GUESS THOUGH YOU DIDN’T EXPECT IT TO SNOWBALL LIKE IT HAS.

WISHING YOU MANY BLESSINGS. JUST SEND A COMMENT TO LET ME KNOW IF YOU APPROVE THE DESIGNS SO I CAN START ADDING THEM TO MY PAGES.

ALSO, I AM PUTTING THOSE DESIGNS ON MY PERSONAL WEBSITE AND WILL GIVE YOU THE LINK SO THAT YOU CAN RETRIEVE THEM FROM THERE ANYTIME YOU WANT ONE. THAT WAY YOU WILL HAVE AN “ACTIVE” LINK TO USE FOR POSTING THEM AS IMAGES.

THINKING YOU A HUMONGEROUS CYBER HUG FOR LUCK AND HAPPINESS.

        MARANTHA

My name is Christie from Article Writing Services. We have a client who would like to pay you for the opportunity to sponsor a blog post that you have recently written. We know that blogs can be expensive to run and our client would like the opportunity to support you in that endeavor.

In return our client is asking for one link that they specify placed into the body of the blog post (no porn or gambling). Feel free to contact me with any concerns or clarifications you may have.

If you would have any questions or would like to start the process, please email me at [email protected] so we can begin.

    Sincerely,

  12. fredibakercoaches

Congrats!! LOVE the new, fresh look of your site!! It makes all the great writing here really stand out…

  13. stephanie, if you would like, and would contact me at [email protected], you can take a look at some of the backgrounds i designed to use on my own blog, i would be glad to share. i have been considering posting them for the other site members (that is if anyone ever visits me anymore) wanted to use some of them, as i created them to share.

please message soon and let me know.

wishing you many blessing and sending you loads of cyber hugs and love,

    marantha

  14. uh, ms. stephanie, did you ever read any more of that story i sent you? if so, what did you think? please let me know, even though i have more or less rewritten the first two sections. if you did like what you read and got past those first two sections, would you like to see what i did with the update?

    marantha

  15. by the way, i won’t be posting much right now, as i am trying to finish THE IHMAEERAN CHRONICLES, plus working on two others, “THE AWAKENING” rewrite and also a new one called “FEAR FEEDER” which is about a psychic vampire.

and in addition to that i am trying to get my new website up and running and also modify some of my artwork to post for sale on redbubble.com, a selling site for artists.

i have a feeling i am going to be “staying out of trouble”…at least for a little while!

by the way, i posted some links to some various writer’s resources that i thought you all might like, if you could pass the word along. here is the link http://1wordywoman.wordpress.com/2011/08/05/wise-writing-words-for-the-wonderful-writers-of-wordpress-links-to-sites-for-writers/

i am hoping that at least some of what is on that page will be helpful to my fellow writers here on workpress.

    blessings, dear lady,

    marantha

  16. Apologies for only now adding a link to your site on my blogroll. I thought I had done it earlier, but I hadn’t. The problem is corrected. And keep up the good work, guys!

  17. Hi there!

I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. You can read more about it on my post, which will go live tomorrow morning.

  19. hello, ms. stephanie! yeah, i have been making some changes on my blog. and i am sorry ii haven’t been around much. it is partly because i have been tied up, trying to finish my book and also because i had so few readers i just lost interest. i tried my best to fit in, but apparently my style of writing wasn’t most folks cup of tea.
i can’t write about stuff like you guys do. i do not interact with the world, i go nowhere, have no friends.

all i have is the stories in my heart, and when i tried to share them, no one even cared enough to comment or even acknowledge that they were there.

so i just more or less drifted away.

re the design, if you could email me with sort of an idea of what you have in mind, something i can form a “snowball” of ideas around, i will see what i can do.

but i hope you don’t need it in just two or three days, because i am heavy into editing on my book.

let me know soon, okay and i will see what i can come up with.

    jan

  20. stephanie, i sent you an email showing the image that i created for your “happy birthday, inmon-ster’s” and also the link to where i loaded it onto photobucket.

i am also posting the link here, for your convenience…

  23. hello, ms. stephanie, this is a voice from the past! i just wanted to let you know that a story that began in response to some of your prompts is now officially published on lulu.com, and will be going live, hopefully today, on createspace.

the story? “homeward bound”. i don’t remember all of the prompts, but i know that it was over a year ago.

just thought you might be interested.

  25. ms. stephanie, i have posted three stories that were based on some of your prompts on my blog. the stories are HOMEWARD BOUND http://wordwriter1958.wordpress.com/2013/04/16/homeward-bound-by-marantha-d-jenelle/ (which, by the way i pulled from create space to do some revisions and have yet to repost), IRONY http://wordwriter1958.wordpress.com/2013/04/12/irony-by-marantha-d-jenelle/, and IMPOSSIBLE LOVE http://wordwriter1958.wordpress.com/2013/04/09/impossible-loveby-marantha-d-jenelle/.

i also would like to share this verse, which i just wrote this morning at two thirty am, with you. as a fellow writer i think you might like it.

    MY SPECIAL CHILD

    A very special thing occurred
When my muse came to me today
She gifted me with a special child
Who in my mind began to crawl and play.

The child at first crawled here and there
Through the winding corridors of my mind
    Picking up and teething on
Any idea ‘toys’ that it did find.

The words my muse whispered to me
Through my mind did ebb and flow
As my child drank from that magical spring
It slowly began to grow and grow.

Now and then my special child
Would sulk or throw a fit
Then I would send it to ‘time out’
‘Till it calmed down a bit.

My precious child grew in fits and bursts
Till it outgrew the home of my mind
Then it kindly asked if it could go out
Adventures for to seek and find.

‘Twas on that day that I realized
My precious child had come of age
So I set it free to run and play
    Upon the screen and page.

My child shared with me its adventures
    Whispering them day and night
As my child continued to grow
    Those adventures I did write.

Then one day my child came to me
With a solemn look upon its face
It thanked me for helping it to grow
As into my hands a gift it did place.

My child told me that the time had come
It must its future go to seek
It gave me a warm loving hug
Then placed a kiss upon my cheek.

I sadly watch my child walk away
    Then I remember its gift
I gaze down at what my hands are holding
As tears down my cheeks begin to drift.

A note is placed upon the top
I open it and take a look
“Dearest mother, I’ll always be with you
In the pages of this book.”
