Inspiration Monday: Puppet Army

0 Flares Filament.io 0 Flares ×

This week on InMon Island: Netflix’s Series of Unfortunate Events is fantastic. I’m only three episodes in, but it’s fantastic. So much more of the books than the movie had. Watch it. I mean don’t. So depressing. 🙂

In other news, as a reminder: Weekly prompts continue this month, and switch to monthly in February. Why am I getting nostalgic? Why??? I’m not going away.

And now for our top stories:

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:*

PUPPET ARMY

FLOUR POWER

GALACTIC MARKETING

GRAVEDIGGERS ANONYMOUS

FAINTING FISTICUFFS

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and then give me the link in the comments below (I’ll also love you more if you link back to me); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. No blog? Email your piece to me at stephanie (at) bekindrewrite (dot) com. (I do reserve the right to NOT link to a piece as stated in my Link Discretion Policy.)

Happy writing!

(PS. I am the SAM from My Write Side, but everyone calls me by my name now, Stephanie.)

    • Good to have you back – especially as a fellow Stephanie. 😉

I was having trouble posting comments on your piece – it said that comments were disabled?

Anyway, I really liked it – it surprised me. The cops seemed so mean until you revealed what was really going on. Nice wordplay/sleight of hand!

  2. Trouble trying to post this link???
    Here goes again
