Inspiration Monday: Accidental Gift

This week at InMon Zoo: I have a new/old four-legged housemate. I’m worried about his ability to adjust, but he has already commandeered the couch and is now snoring. In other news: Christmas shopping.

And now for our top stories:

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:*

  1. No sixth sense this time. Just figured you were probably busy and stressed. They’re not nearly as good as the ones you produced last week, though my muse has holiday fatigue.

Canine or feline or some other quadruped?

    • Meh. Sometimes I think I’m running out of prompts…

Canine. Technically he was a family dog, living with my parents, but he’s started fighting with the other dog, bad enough that we had to separate them. Not sure how happy he’ll be here, long hours alone, but it’s better than the alternative. And I like having him around. And it’ll make me exercise more.

      • Well, round up a few of us to help? Seriously, txt me if you’re ever struggling. I find it fun. ^_^

Aw… it sounds like a pretty good situation. It’s easier for an older dog to deal with the long hours. The 3-year-old pooch I am fostering has a very hard time with my 10-hour days.

  2. Here is my take on the happy accident Stephanie.~
