Inspiration Monday: Moonglasses

0 Flares Filament.io 0 Flares ×

This week at InMon Manor: I finally know how he met their mother! In other news, assuming my dreams are prophetic, the new Star Wars movie is going to be animated (poorly) and set on Mars. But, let’s be honest, probably #StillBetterThanThePrequels.

And now for our top stories:

A-Ku

Tara

John

Mark

Tessa

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

Moonglasses

Martian Gardener

Dead Last

Field Trip

Lab-Grown Love

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and then give me the link in the comments below (I’ll also love you more if you link back to me); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. 1. I used Field Trip as my prompt to continue my serial story, Circuit Freaks. This part is called Weathered Absences:

  2. Hey, hope you are doing good!
I stopped watching HIMYM somewhere in season 3 or 4(no particular reason but lack of time and then getting out of touch with it)… heard a lot of ardent fans were disappointed when the mother was finally revealed. How did you find it?

Here’s my entry for this week… I used “lab-grown love” as a prompt. I quite liked the phrase!

    • I rather relate to Ted’s plight, so I devoured the whole series pretty quickly. The show is quite brilliant, and they do an excellent job of making you fall in love with the mother before the end, but there were three huge twists in the last two episodes that were brilliant but bittersweet. One of them, I still have mixed feelings about.

If you enjoy the average episode, I’d highly recommend finishing it.

  3. I’m more of a Star Trek girl… I went with Moonglasses too.

  4. How I hope your dreams are false prophecy.

Also, like it or now, I have bestowed another award upon your blog. https://jubilare.wordpress.com/2015/10/19/creative-blogger-award/

Look upon my works, all ye mighty, and despair! …or not.
