Meh, I’d say most of mine is instinctual, too. My English education from high school forward was, shall we say, extremely informal. But I guess I’ve had some experience defending grammatical choices to clients. : )

No doubt you are right. This is what comes from having instinctual rather than concrete grammar. Punctuation has never been my thing. 😉
Still, I like the idea of super powers via baked ravioli.

Ah, but beginning the sentence with a conjunction makes it an incomplete sentence and indicates the period is only there for emphasis and should be treated like a comma. Now, as to “feeling baked ravioli,” an objective observer could only assume that “baked” is a euphemism for “inebriated,” and since the ravioli in question was stuffed with cheese, the phrase might indicate that I was high and making very bad jokes…In which case I think I prefer your original interpretation.

If the period were a comma, yes, but unless I’m mistaken the period can imply that the second sentence has the same conclusion as the first, therefore baked ravioli makes you feel badass, just as growling lawn-devourers do. ^_^
Plus, I’m none-too-sure what “feel badass and baked ravioli” means… O_o

Haha. Technically, in context, the lawn-fighting implements would make me feel ravioli, rather than ravioli making me feel badass. But I’ll claim poetic license and be done with it.
