Inspiration Monday: Ides of Mark

0 Flares Filament.io 0 Flares ×

Today in the InMon Paradise: At the job I love, I had the task of writing headlines about hating your job. I believe this qualifies as ironic. In other news, I am much better rested than I was last week, though my eye still twitches occasionally.

And now for our top stories:

Jubilare

Mark

Chad

Adan

Tara

Alan

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:*

Ides of Mark

Useless Uses

Hair Peace

Left-Wing Conservatory

Cowback Horseboy

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and then give me the link in the comments below (I’ll also love you more if you link back to me); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. No blog? Email your piece to me at stephanie (at) bekindrewrite (dot) com. (I do reserve the right to NOT link to a piece as stated in my Link Discretion Policy.)

Plus, get the InMon badge for your site here.

Happy writing!

* Thanks to Mark for providing or inspiring most of today’s prompts.

  1. Hey Stephanie…I’m not sure if you remember me from a while ago, but it’s Evan–and I’d like to come back if that’s okay.

    • Evan!!! I was just thinking about you the other day, and wondering where you’d got to. Welcome back! How are things?

      • Hi Stephanie!

I wasn’t sure if you’d seen this–apparently I don’t get notifications for comment responses here–but I’m glad to be back! Sorry about the extended hiatus, I’d been having some issues with the whole finishing-my-secondary-education thing, but now that the graduation process is over, I’m ready to get into my new blog and book series! How have things been in the InMon world?

        Best regards as always,
        Evan

  2. Hurrah for sleep!

Also, I don’t know if it’s just me, but the last prompt is offset, so that I didn’t notice it at first, which is a shame, because it is great!

  3. Sorry to say I won’t be participating for a few more weeks. I’m off to the hospital in a few hours for another knee surgery. See you when I get back. Lucy

  4. Hey Stephanie! I have no idea if you’ll remember me but I’m one of the original InMonsters from WAY back in the day (I went by Jinx). I wrote a guest post on ToWanderLost’s blog last week but forgot to link back for you.

Just wanted to share and say hi. Good to see you’re still doing an awesome job inspiring writers everywhere. 🙂
