This week in InMonotopia: A behind-the-scenes Star Wars reel that gives me real hope for the new movie and kinda makes me want to cry, in a good way. It looks like Star Wars again. It feels like Star Wars again.

And now for our top stories:

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

One Million Birthdays
Heroine Addict
Split Infinity
Arrow Dynamic
Hat Store

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and then give me the link in the comments below (I’ll also love you more if you link back to me); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. 1. Wary hope. 🙂

  2. Random InMon prompt-possibilities?
    Autoimmobile
Fractal Cat (a relative posted a very disturbing video containing fractal cats on Facebook, recently. It’s been haunting my nightmares. o_o )
    and Prism Sentence

Hope you’re having a good Monday!

    • Hmmm. My brother was going to write a story called “Life in Prism.” Perhaps you two brain on the same frequency.

Did you see how I just turned “brain” into a verb, but it doesn’t mean “bash head in”? Is that worrisome?

I like them all! I may tweak Fractal Cat. Are you talking about the cyriak video? I stumbled across one of those called “cows & cows & cows” awhile back. Disturbing, but also makes me laugh for some reason.

      • Or a crossbrain? That would be where two otherwise divergent trains of thought cross at the same point and everybody prays that there’s not a brainwreck. Oh look! Another possible InMon prompt. These are fun.

Language is for twisting, especially when one knows one is twisting it. English wouldn’t be the absolutely delightful chaos that it is without meddling. http://karenstollznow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/tumblr_ltmgahlyz91qa3geco1_400.jpg

Tweak as you please. When I toss these out, it’s just to help you out and because it’s fun. I won’t be offended if they’re changed or simply not used. 😉 You do a great job getting prompts out every week. I think I’d have run dry by now.

I… honestly don’t know who did the video or why. I watched it, then slowly backed away from my computer and closed the window. There are things my brain apparently isn’t equipped to handle, and a fractal cat is one of these things.
