So many good pieces this week! It’s like Christmas! Oh, wait…

The Rules
There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.
OR
No really; I need rules!
Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.
The Prompts:
SUN FISHING
IDEA SOUP
A GOOD FIGHT’S SLEEP
DESPERATE MEASURES
PAPER OR PLASMA
Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and then give me the link in the comments below (I’ll also love you more if you link back to me); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. No blog? Email your piece to me at stephanie (at) bekindrewrite (dot) com. (I do reserve the right to NOT link to a piece as stated in my Link Discretion Policy.)
Plus, get the InMon badge for your site here.
Happy writing!

Almost time for the finale to this mini-series.

I am curious, where do you get the words from that you include as inspiration?
Sadly I’ve not been very motivated on writing much and seem to struggle with the prompts (even though you say we can ignore them, I prefer the “rules”.
I don’t really know where they come from. Sometimes I’ll jot down interesting phrases as I come across them during the week, but most of the time I make them up on the spot right before I publish. I’ll try to think of common idioms I can twist, or I’ll look around the room for inspiration in random objects.
I’m sorry you’re not feeling motivated lately. Hopefully one of this week’s prompts will spark your imagination!
I’ll have plasma, please, and could you put the eggs on top? Thanks. 😉
Right next to the bread!
I went with a “Good Fight’s Sleep.”
