Inspiration Monday: In Other Newts

Chase keeps sending me credit card applications and I’ve been saving the business return envelopes, because postage is paid. I intend to fill them with random flash fiction and send them to unwitting credit employees.

In the meantime, here’s some flash fiction that’s available for anyone to read!

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

  1. That is a brilliant idea!

  2. Here’s my submission. Yes, I’m back. Well, sort of back.

  3. I knew I was going to use one of these prompts as a title, but I didn’t know which until today. I combined your challenge with the one over at the 100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups, and “The Long Arm of the Crime” was born.
