Trying to watch a video about cliffhangers and it keeps freezing up.
Here are a series of entertaining things you can enjoy without waiting for them to buffer:
–
The Rules
There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.
OR
No really; I need rules!
Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.
The Prompts:
SUPERSOMNIA
CLIFFHANGER
THE LAST YODEL
GUILTY LAWYER
GLASS ROCKET
Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and then give me the link in the comments below (I’ll also love you more if you link back to me); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. No blog? Email your piece to me at stephanie (at) bekindrewrite (dot) com. (I do reserve the right to NOT link to a piece as stated in my Link Discretion Policy.)
Plus, get the InMon badge for your site here.
Happy writing!

“Trying to watch a video about cliffhangers and it keeps freezing up.” XD
True story.
I created the following piece using this prompt and one other.

Here is my response for the week, just shy of 200 words though.

Oh and I finally wrote that post on tropes that we talked about ages ago. I also want to write my review of The hobbit take two, but I have to force myself to watch it again, first, so… no telling when that will happen.
Woohoo!
On Hobbit, it was funny; different people I talked to had different reactions. A sciency guy I know was incensed at the shoddy physics of the barrel scene. My brother, a jeweler, was irritated about the chemistry of the molten gold scene. And I couldn’t get over orcs that travel in daylight and Legolas, what is wrong with your eyes?, and these wood-elves are way too serious, and…well, you get the picture.
Yeah… My premise is basically that a) it is a fanfic
b) that it is a bad fanfic.
To go off-canon is one thing. What they did was far, far worse than that. 😛
Yes! Both movies (with the exception of a few scenes) felt very juvenile, which is how I felt about the last two Narnia movies.
I do, however, love Martin Freemen – particularly his reaction to Smaug.
Oh, there are elements that are great. Casting Martin Freeman was brilliant. It’s a shame they barely use him. 🙁
Yes. True! More Bilbo! Less Elves! Zero daytime orcs!
I’m cheating just a little bit: http://frommywriteside.wordpress.com/2014/07/14/fly-paper/
I have a story that I need to edit! I will be getting mine in just under the wire, Stephanie! Literally. I have to work late, but hope to still get my submission in by today 6 PM your time. 🙂
Here’s my response to the InMon prompt…
