Inspiration Monday: Window Lizards

0 Flares Filament.io 0 Flares ×

Finally watched the Book Thief movie. I’ll give it 8 out of 10 stars. Of course it couldn’t be as good as the book, but I would have liked a little more of the narration. However, all the actors were great. I loved that they actually had German accents. I cried through the whole thing and the last sentence was spot-on.

Just a few this week but all so good. Read them! Read them all!

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

WINDOW LIZARDS

MERCURY POISONING

SECRET ORGANIZATION

TIME STAMP

THE FINAL FRONTIER

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and then give me the link in the comments below (I’ll also love you more if you link back to me); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. 1. Was quite hard to integrate those window lizards. I feel like I should have written more about those little critters.

  2. A fun group of words… Not sure what to make of mine, but I’m feeling rather out of sorts today, so… perhaps it all makes sense: http://thematticuskingdom.wordpress.com/2014/07/02/save-point/

  3. Here’s mine, The Shadows of the the Jungle. I managed to use two of the prompts, Window Lizards and Time Stamp. Let me know what you think!

  4. Hey Steph,

  5. I loved this week’s prompts, and had a grand time writing this story. Your prompts, Stephanie, are the best!

Here’s my submission, entitled ‘Second Star to the Right…’

  6. I’m running late, Stephanie. I hope to have it done tonight. Practically everyone is doing window lizards and I’m the queen of lizards. So, I shall choose another. Lucy

  7. Here’s my almost late submission: Mercury Poisoning: a game of chess. At Sapient Chronicles
