Inspiration Monday: Extinction

0 Flares Filament.io 0 Flares ×

Crazy week, crazy weather! Saturday I had all the windows open, enjoying the sunshine and soft springy breezes – Sunday morning the curtains were frozen to the glass. Ah, Texas. Always keeping us on our toes.

Hey, if you missed it, you can hear me play ukulele and learn how to format your manuscript at the same time.

And look, a whole slew of fun things to read:

Steve

DJMatticus

Chris and another

PrincessDeloso

Tami

SAM

Kay

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

EXTINCTION

THE KINGDOM IS MINE

EPILOGUE

MELTING MOON

TALK TO STRANGERS

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and then give me the link in the comments below (I’ll also love you more if you link back to me); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. 1. Yes, we are freezing here too!

  2. I feel like a broken record on here. I couldn’t help it. I had to be silly again. Though, perhaps this one isn’t as silly as some of my other responses have been…? http://thematticuskingdom.wordpress.com/2014/03/04/a-different-ending-almost/

  3. Hi Stephanie,

Here’s my response for this week! Sorry for the dearth of existence lately–planning to get back on track!

  4. Here’s one for you – The Kingdom is Mine: http://chriswhitewrites.com/2014/03/05/the-kingdom-is-mine/ Guess which prompt I used this week!

  5. These are my all time favourite prompts from you – I was spoilt for choice. Not sure my response could really live up to their brilliance, but I’ve done my best!

  6. Are you catering to my story? Of course ‘The Kingdom is Mine’ would inspire another segment to my ongoing story!

  7. Oooh! This looks like fun! May I join in?

  8. Another one: At a Snail’s Pace, http://chriswhitewrites.com/2014/03/08/snails_pace/#more-2672. This time I used the prompt Talk to Strangers
