Inspiration Monday: Choose to Forget

0 Flares Filament.io 0 Flares ×

Hey all: it seems the trackbacks/pingbacks aren’t always reliable, so please make sure you leave a comment with a link to your piece so you know I get it (I do appreciate your still linking back here; it helps other folks discover the InMon community).

In other news, sometimes I feel like I’ve used prompts before. But I search for them on the blog and can’t find them. It’s like deja InMon vu. Or something.

These stories are definitely new, though:

PrincessDeloso

Tami

Imaginator

Chris (missed him last week) and this week

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

CHOOSE TO FORGET

SOUNDS IN SPACE

PALINDROME

THE FIST

TREADING WATER

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and then give me the link in the comments below (I’ll also love you more if you link back to me); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. No blog? Email your piece to me at stephanie (at) bekindrewrite (dot) com. (I do reserve the right to NOT link to a piece as stated in my Link Discretion Policy.)

Plus, get the InMon badge for your site here.

Happy writing!

  3. I don’t know why, but your prompts always seem to bring out the silly in me: http://thematticuskingdom.wordpress.com/2014/02/25/simple-truths/
Next week I’m going to try to do something serious instead.

  4. Here’s one, another untitled poem: http://chriswhitewrites.com/2014/02/26/2615/
I used the prompt: Treading Water. Let me know what you think!

  11. I hope non-fiction is okay; the “choose to forget” prompt helped give me the words for a real-life debate I’ve been thinking about.
