Holiday Blog Schedule – also, I need your help!

So…News!
I’m taking a semi-break. From now through the end of the year, I won’t be writing any new Friday posts – instead I’ll be re-posting some of the best articles from the archives. Don’t worry: Inspiration Monday will continue as usual!
I’m just taking this soft sabbatical to keep up with Thanksgiving and Christmas activities (I am determined to watch more Christmas movies and bake at least one batch of gingerbread men this year. Also, I have to fold 100+ origami cranes for a project.), get a little more novel-writing done, and recharge my blogging battery.
You see, I feel a bit wrung out, idea-wise. That’s why I need your help.

What do you want to read about in 2013?

Do you want to start a community discussion about character development, story morals, suspension of disbelief?
Do you want to learn more about  novel-writing, copywriting/marketing, blogging?
Do you want to ask me about my favorite books and movies? My opinions on the Oxford comma? My ukulele?
Ultimately, what about writing keeps you up at night?
Please, tell me in the comments!

  1. Enjoy your holidays….may your break be refreshing and we’ll start the New Year fresh
    …Happy Holidays.

  2. Such a busy time of year. Enjoy your reprieve, I’m sure you’ll return renewed and ready to go again. Catching up on blog reading keeps me up at nights. How to make them more manageable? There are so many good ones, and I don’t want to miss anything!

  3. The trouble with Christmas is that you have to put the rest of your life on hold, just to get through it.
We love to read everything you write – ukulele? I for one am happy with the content as it comes, so what ever drives you that week – post it. Enjoy the break!

I’ll try and keep up the pace with InMon – by the way, just had four shorts published in an anthology – One Word Anthology, by Talkback Writers (available on Amazon)

  4. I want an in-depth analysis of rabid apocalyptic bunnies of doom. 😉
But more than that, I want you to have a lovely holiday season!

    • Wow, I didn’t think you could beat the mysterious case of the marshmallow mushroom forest, but rabid apocalyptic bunnies of doom takes the cake (sidenote: that sounds like a band name if I ever heard one – whose acronym would actually be RABOD. OMIGOSH.)

      • I have punctuated my conversation randomly with “rabid apocalyptic bunnies of doom” since high school. My poor friends are used to it by now. 😉
That would be a pretty awesome band name… Fortunately for all, I am not in a band.

  5. Hey! I’m finally catching up on the whole of November as it happened outside the world of my new son! Hope the break is treating you well. I am particularly impressed with the cranes – the tree looks fantastic!
As for what I’d like to read, your posts are always interesting, so stick with whatever comes into your head and I don’t think you’ll go far wrong. I particularly enjoyed your thoughts about Show don’t tell (reposted last week), so if you’re looking for ideas, maybe you could address a few other “rules” of writing.
    Happy Holidays!
