Inspiration Monday: invisible sky

0 Flares Filament.io 0 Flares ×

Another slow week in InMon land. Gearing up for NaNoWriMo, are we? No matter: more time to enjoy these pieces!

Raina

Chris

Carrie

And if you have a little more time, you must check out the Hobbit read-along going on at The Warden’s Walk. I’m only just catching up, but everyone is brilliant in their reviews.

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

invisible sky
view from the gutter
crime of compassion
broken note
used words

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and link back to today’s post (here’s a video on how to do it); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. No blog? Email your piece to me at bekindrewrite (at) yahoo (dot) com. (I do reserve the right to NOT link to a piece as stated in my Link Discretion Policy.)

Plus, get the InMon badge for your site here.

Happy writing!

  2. No Nanowrimo for me, but thank you for the prompts. I don’t manage to do these every week, but do appreciate them so much and I write as the inspiration strikes. 🙂

  3. It arrived! It arrived! It arrived! Thank you so much for my VoiceWeek prize, and the card. I’m super excited to read it – a lot of the stories I “know” but I’ve never actually read most of them!
Sorry I’ve been off-prompt for a couple of weeks. Should be back with InMon on Thursday, baby permitting.

  5. Here’s my first, A Pyrrhic Ripple – it’s only brief, but I’ve gotta run the squids to school, so hopefully more to come this morning…

  8. Hi, Sorry for the inaction of the past few weeks.
Sublime prompts this time! I so wanted to write something with “Invisible Sky” but nothing clicked. Would love to read someone’s take on it!

Here is my offering this time. I used “used words”.

  12. Hi Steph, Just had to join in this week. Still recovering from VW – that was fun! I’m considering Nano again, but I don’t think I can fit it in with everything else going on, this year. Anyway, here is my version of Invisible Sky.
