I re-watched Mirror Mask last week. Neil Gaiman. Jim Henson. The really useful book. Does it get any better than that? So anyway, all the prompts are from Mirror Mask this week. : )
Lots of great work this week. But you may need to read some of these with a tissue.

The Rules
There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.
OR
No really; I need rules!
Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.
The Prompts:
Mirror mask
Remember what your mother told you
Look out the window
Don’t let them see you’re afraid
I’ve got a tower

These are awesome prompts…now I’ve never seen the movie, so will have to investigate.
Thanks…my minds a twirling !
Peace,

Glad you like them! : ) I’d definitely recommend the movie – sort of a weird mix between Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. I love it!

Remember what your mother told you.
Don’t let them see you’re afraid.
I’ve never seen MirrorMask, but I read the synopsis and I am rather intrigued!

Nothing quite like waking up when the world is still quiet, having a coffee and managing to get words down on paper, is there?
http://cleveroldowl.wordpress.com/2012/08/11/dzinski-close-shave-chapter-seven/
It was 430 am here when I woke up, but unfortunately it was with a grumpy two year old! Not much physical writing, more telling tales of her favourite fictional character – Bogdan the Octopus. My seven year old and I made him up. Oh the adventures he has!
Waiting for Mummy before I start stroking the keys…
Bogdan the Octopus sounds like a wonderful character – have you written of him or is it all oral?
It’s all oral at the moment, although I am considering writing down at least one of his exploits…which is based on a true cephalopodic adventure.
Oh, this needs to happen. The literary world needs more cephalopodic adventures. Let me know if you ever post one, prompt or not. : )

I finally managed something after 3-4 weeks of nothing.
Here’s my attempt: http://unduecreativity.wordpress.com/2012/08/11/look-out-the-window/
Oh! I thought I had done one for this set. I was forgotten. I guess I’ll hop on next time instead.
Your link didn’t show up in my feed for some reason. So sorry! I’ve updated with it now. : )
