The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

The unanswered phone
Hopeful romantic
Friends in low places*
Dissected heart

*Yeah, I know. This is a Garth Brooks song. Somebody at work found out I don’t listen to country, so they made me a mix CD. I like…some of it.

I guess I hit my head harder than I thought last Sunday (June 3) when I fell in the downpour and ended up with six stitches over my left eye …I checked several times to be sure I posted for this site…now I don’t even recognize the prompts…I must have done something weird with them and looked at the wrong week !

Had the stitches out today so am rarin’ to go ! These look like fun prompts.

    Peace,
