Inspiration Monday: I dream in static

0 Flares 0 Flares ×

I finally saw Tron: Legacy (super behind the times, I know. Maybe in the next ten years I’ll see the Avengers). Loved the music and all the techno eye candy. Does anyone else notice interesting theological parallels? Fascinating continuation of the original.

Okay, read some really cool stuff:

Chris and another and one more

PenNTonic (last week) and another

Hugmore (last week)

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

I dream in static
Mythical science
Outside story
Martian tea*

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and link back to today’s post (here’s a video on how to do it); I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. No blog? Email your piece to me at bekindrewrite (at) yahoo (dot) com.

Plus, get the InMon badge for your site here.

Happy writing!

* Oolong. One million awesome points to anyone who gets this nerdy pun.

  5. Not sure about the pun – the link must be tea … are there black dragons in the Martian Tea party?

    • Not quite. I’ll explain in this week’s post. But you still get the one million awesome points because you wrote steampunk. Steampunk always gets a million awesome points from me. : )

  6. Steampunk has grabbed me recently. I’m going to try some altered art projects – as soon as there is some time spare.

Now how can i spend a million awesome points …?
