Inspiration Monday: patchwork people

0 Flares 0 Flares ×

As you can see, I’m giving up Roman numerals. The simple system is apparently too complex for my highly distractible mind. So I opted to save myself the trouble and just use titles instead! Plus it creates a bit more interest, dontcha think?

Some really enjoyable pieces this week; be sure to read up! And be sure to tune in Friday as we unveil *gasp* the Super Secret Project!!!

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

Patchwork people*
Out of rocket fuel
When he awoke, something was missing
A pre-packaged life
Kings will be kings

Want to share your Inspiration Monday piece? Post it on your blog and link back to today’s post; I’ll include a link to your piece in the next Inspiration Monday post. No blog? Email your piece to me at bekindrewrite (at) yahoo (dot) com.

Happy writing!

*Today’s first prompt brought to you by Doctor Who, season 6: The Doctor’s Wife. Bowties are cool.

  3. This is really a coincidence. I had already just finished writing a story and was about to post on my blog, when I saw your pingback. And then your prompts matched the finished story that I’d just written!!

Though, I’ll probably make another second entry/story for this. 🙂
