Inspiration Monday XXIX

0 Flares Filament.io 0 Flares ×

Computer’s all squared away, now, as far as I can tell. My advice: when you buy a new computer and it tells you to back up your OS, do it (I did it). And if, as I suspect most writers do, you keep your whole life on that computer, I highly recommend paying for some kind of online backup service (I did). Otherwise I would have lost six months of work! Now, with your renewed sense of the value of the written word, read some of these fabulous pieces:

Kay

Mike (last week) and this week and Etheree form

Lady Nimue

The Rummaker

Scribbla

Knot2share

Char

Barb

The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:

The last unknown
We’re strangers now
New dog, same old tricks
I learned the power of words too late
What they wanted me to be

  13. Hey there friends! Me again! 😉 I do totally enjoy this, I want you all to know. It is excellent discipline to focus writing on one or more of the posted prompts! I just love it! Not sure I’d like to do it everyday, but … once a week is cool!
