The Rules

There are none. Read the prompts, get inspired, write something. No word count minimum or maximum. You don’t have to include the exact prompt in your piece, and you can interpret the prompt(s) any way you like.

OR

No really; I need rules!

Okay; write 200-500 words on the prompt of your choice. You may either use the prompt as the title of your piece or work it into the body of your piece. You must complete it before 6 pm CST on the Monday following this post.

The Prompts:
When the wind gets tired
Too young to live
80-year-old runaway
Things I forgot in school
Theoretical evidence

  1. I totally missed the part about the Pink Floyd theme last week. Sorry.

  3. Wow – such wonderful choices. It was tough to pick, but I settled on one eventually:

Tabula Rasa – Too young to live

(I really, really wanted to write for the Pink Floyd prompts, but for a most obscure reason fund myself unable to write to them! I think it’s because I know and love their music so well – it cannot be topped or redone. Not by me, anyway. Still, there were some fantastic submissions by others that I read!)

  4. Thank you so much for the inspiration ! Otherwise I would have never ventured into wtories .. Here’s what I wrote this week – http://ladynimue.wordpress.com/2011/07/22/2025/

  9. Hello Stephanie – Thank you for all the wonderful prompts for InMon. I have been keeping up with all the writers and was able to write a story this week after quite some time away.

I chose 80-Year-Old Runaway. It is at this link: http://mywordswhisper.wordpress.com/2011/07/21/80-year-old-runaway/

    Again, thank you!
